Emergencies

Most insurance companies require authorization before seeking urgent care, so we encourage you to call our office before you are seen and treated in an urgent care center. In cases of life threatening emergencies, of course, you should take your child to either Kosair Children's Hospital or to the nearest community
hospital where the physician on duty will begin treatment and call
us. If your insurance is a managed care plan and requires approval from your primary care physician, you should call the office the
next working day so that authorization can be obtained by our
office staff.
